2.  Audit: Sandra Carlos is ready to go.
3.  Major Fundraiser for Restoration: Holly Fiala wants to meet with the group for fund raising strategy. Wants good representation from the Chinese Community and community members (City, Arts council, Museums, etc.) She would like to use the City Hall Conference room for the meeting. The Committee suggested we wait until after the Bok Kai parade. Perhaps meeting in mid-March on weekend or weeknight. March 15 is the tentative date.
4.  Donated Dinners/Jean Chan: So far Jean has 6 dinners donated. Kay will talk to Rich Davis. Jean suggested setting up a table at the Mall to sell raffle tickets.
5. Banner/George: The banner will cost $189. George will bring sample designs to the next meeting.
6. Newsletter/Billie: Deferred to next meeting.
7. Global Theme Consultants: Paul: met with Global/Jerry Rudloff and walked them down the levee to the old Hollywood park, old China Town, and the Temple. They are getting names of all the owners of property around First St to see if they are willing to sell or rent land. They want to rent office space locally to get started. They do know that they must contact all parties in the City of Marysville. The financing is coming out of mainland China. The Taipei/Director General was here the next day. He expects to be here for the BokKai parade.
8. Postcards/George: Has contacted five merchants who are willing to sell the postcards in Yuba City also. Paul will check with B.I.D. in both cities.
9. Temple Visitation Schedule/Jean: Deferred. Need suggestions from the Chinese Community.
10. Thank you letters/George: Writing a standard letter for donations.
11. Thank you letter to Paul Chace: Deferred. The Chinese Community did send one.
12. Proposition 40 Money/Paul: Applications will be out in March. He will check with Dave Lamon to see if any monies are being applied for for the Temple.
13. BokKai Parade/Gary: Gary talked to Joan and she will give us some preference in positioning. Gary has an application at home will complete it for us as time is getting short. Mr. Nam offered the use of the patio at the Silver Dollar for our booth. Gary will talk to Joan about this.
14. Visits by supporting groups/Jean: Sacred Sites is coming on March 7. They have been invited to the hostess reception. The Temple will be open from 10-6 on Friday. A Chinese television film crew will be here on Friday. The Diablo Cultural Center wants to come also. The Hop Sing Society will meet on Sunday.
B. New Business:
1. Fundraiser at the BokKai booth/George: George suggested selling 2003 calendars to be printed locally. Jean felt it is too late in the year and the prices quoted were too high. The Committee suggested ding this next year when we have more time and possibly better prices. Shirley volunteered to help with this if done early enough.
2. Items to sell at the booth/Denise: Suggested items from the Oriental Trading Company as a way of raising fund for administrative costs. She will bring in a catalog next meeting for the committee to look at.
3. Getty Application: The application is due February 10. George asked permission of the Board to allow the Executive Committee to review the letter of intent and to send it due to lack of time. M/S/P.
4. Historic Structures Report for the Yuba County Library/George: A copy of the HSR has been placed at Sutter County museum. The Yuba County Library has improved their security problems in the past few months but still not fool proof. They would like to have a copy of the report but can't pay for it. Paul suggested putting it on a CD for them. George suggested we wait for a librarian to be hired.

VIII.  Comments from the floor:
A. Kay: Sister City needs to be reimbursed by the BokKai Committee for the drawings that were done.
B. Jean: Red books for the Temple will need to be printed. Jean will check with printers.
C. Shirley: Thanked guests for coming and hope they will come more often.
D. Paul: If the VLF is not passed by the State, the City will lose $680,000. There will be NO cultural events including the BokKai parade. The County is going to be hit even harder.
E. George: Thanked visitors for coming.
F. Mr. Tom: Mr. Tom is a member of the YC Historic Society.
G.  Mr. Nam: Will be happy to donate dinners if they are open by that time.

IX.  Adjournment. 8:55 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
